«Beat Gehrig to be the new CEO at the First Catering Group.»

Bassersdorf – on the 1st of July 2008 Beat Gehrig will become the new CEO at the First Catering Group with facilities in Bassersdorf, Ghana, Nigeria, Zambia and South Africa. He replaces the company founder and co-owner Markus Oberholzer in this position. Markus Oberholzer continues as chairman of the board.

Beat Gehrig has many years experience and held many key positions in the airline catering business: he was the CEO of the Swiss Egyptian Restaurant & Catering Company in Cairo and the CEO of Iber-Swiss, Madrid (Iberia/Swissair). In addition he was the General Manager of Swissair Catering, Managing Director of Gate Gourmet Switzerland and on the supervisory board at Airest, Vienna.

The First Catering Group currently employees 1700 people worldwide. Social competence and commitment comprises a key added-value for the company.
